The Monkey and her friends watching Frozen. She was so excited to have her first play date at her house. There was all kinds of craziness from this bunch!! And I actually am talking about the kids. Though the adults may not have been too far behind seeing as the prince decided to fix himself dinner (pulled out a bowl, spoon and cereal and handed them to me) and let me know it was past his bedtime (I'm tired. Night night.)
Blog of a 40 something working mother of a monkey in a pretty dress and a little prince. This is my daily ramblings of all things beautiful, tasty and mind boggling. In essence, daily life.

Weekend Glimpses
HOPPY EASTER!! Sorry we missed you last week. My bad on keeping up on posts. I'm trying to be better about it but sometimes I'm just not better. I feel like I'm in blog therapy. Tell me about your lack of posting...well, first I couldn't do anything until I got coffee. Then coffee led to french pastries, Then that led to a long walk trying to get the kids to take a nap. That led to going home because nap didn't happen. That led to...and on...and on. Basically, I just didn't do it. So we'll double up on pics again this week. Hope yall had a happy easter and enjoyed some sunshine!

Weekend Glimpses
In stark contrast to last week's plethora of weekend glimpses, this past weekend is slim pickins. Both the monkey and the little prince completely forgot how to sleep. Poof! Gone! Sleep? Ain't no way! So we did some long naps...wait, no, no we didn't. We did a really short nap on Saturday but we did do a really loooonnngg nap on Sunday. Parents included. There was about to be a whole lot of fightin going on around here if everyone didn't go down. And what's better after taking a long nap than going out for a loooonnngg run. Needless to say, not a whole lot of pictures from Sunday. However, the ones I did get are pretty darn special. Prince in the monkey's strawberry costume? Adorbs. The fact that the monkey can scope out too small clothes such as the strawberry costume after they have been packed up? Kinda cute but really cute when she's dressed up as said strawberry. The phase she's going through where she answers every question with "poo-poo! pee-pee!" So, so, so special. So special.

Around we go
We always knew we had a little artist in the monkey. The girl would do nothing but sit at the table and draw since she was a wee little thing. Actually, she still does sit at the table and draws for hours. At school, at home, at the gym, at frozen yogurt. She actually informed me she got in trouble at school the other day for 'drawing too much'. I hope you never lose you passion for art and I hope you can make a living doing what you love one day little monkey. But this post isn't about the monkey. It's about the little prince. Yep, artist numero dos has officially arrived. And he's arrived at circles. Picture hundreds of pieces of paper similar to the ones below and a little bright blonde prince saying 'wound and a-wound and a-wound' while drawing them all. Followed by an ear piercing 'LOOK MAMA! CIRCCLLLLLE! DWAW A CIRCCLLLLLE! A-wound and a-wound and a-wound...' And repeat. And repeat. And repeat.
